We are on the Yadkin River in the Foothills of N.C. just 1.5 miles from I-77. RFRR was awarded the Tripadvisor Traveler’s Choice Award in 2021. The Elkin area is a great day trip or staycation for those who love the outdoors! Sorry folks, NO pets are allowed on our trips and children MUST be 5 years old and above to participate. I'm an experienced kayaker. I've run the Yadkin many times, but never at this section. The put in at Elkin is great and easy. Your on-line booking is awesome, so easy, plus the on-line waver makes it super easy too. The river was fast on Sunday, and my friend had never kayaked before, so I was glad we had a double. Your boat was premium, just like new. I'd not run this brand before and I really enjoyed it. Plenty of room and very stable. We got in, turned on our tunes and coasted down river. We took some time paddling up stream as I wanted a workout as part of my run. I was surprised that even by myself, I could make pretty good progress up river. This made the short normal two hour run last about two hours, otherwise we would have finished 20 minutes sooner because of the faster current. My friend loved it and I think she'll be ready to solo next time. Afterwards, we went back to Elkin and had lunch at the Angry Troll. It was a great day! Everyone was great. You've really got a great set up and I think I've now been to about every outfitter on the river. Thanks again for a great day.

We had four couples tubing for a birthday event. We were driven to the launch location and the staff was very helpful to get our tubes and explain how the trip will work and where will finish. We loved our kayak river cruise - convenient booking - easy in and out of river - great equipment. We absentmindedly locked our keys and phones into our vehicle before launching and Cindy & Mark were so kind and gracious with assisting us every way they could while we (and Cindy) called around for locksmith, then while we waited for 1.5 hr for help. Their overwhelming kindness and generosity made that bad situation not ruin our anniversary weekend getaway and we are SO GRATEFUL!

There were 4 of us and they tied our tubes together. I highly recommend tubing here. We will go back. Others in my group who had been tubing at other locations said this was the best tubing experience they have had. The prices are also great.
